I didn’t realise you had coffee and Colonna in your past, Dan. Indeed, I didn’t know much of your past at all! Nice to see the origin story, and an idea of how far you’ve travelled.
I have a wonderful chef friend in Kharkiv, he used to be a coffee specialist before making the move into food, had just bought his own place when the full scale Russian invasion happened … anyway it was a pretty intense time, but his restaurant did finally open and it’s one of my favourite places there, hyper local, modern but unfussy Ukrainian food. Wish you could visit him!
A lovely story and a blueprint for success.
Passion + Savvy = Happiness
Thank you Mao
You’re very welcome. It’s a form of bravery to share your experiences and those beginnings.

Thanks Matt. It’s been a fun journey so far.
So great to hear how you started. Thank you.
Thanks Saber
Hi Dan! And greetings from Ukraine!

Hi Felicity, sounds like your friend has had a remarkable story! If I ever get the chance, I’ll visit his restaurant. What’s the name of his place?
It’s called Tripychya or ‘3 ovens’ and I’ll be there this weekend!
Thanks Liam. I think there’s definitely some space for stories from the other side!
